Welcome to Methodology Man Ltd. By accessing or using our website or services, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.


1. About Methodology Man Ltd

Methodology Man Ltd is a UK-based project management consultancy providing project management services to industrial and commercial clients. We specialise in full project lifecycle management, PMO setup and improvement, and pay-as-you-go or fractional project management. We can also manage contractors on site, including responsibilities related to health and safety compliance and commissioning of deliverables.


2. Services

We provide consultancy and management services on a contractual or ad-hoc basis, including:

  • Project lifecycle management
  • Permit to Work oversight and RAMS review
  • CAD design and factory layout services
  • PMO setup and process improvement
  • Contractor coordination and site readiness
  • Training content creation
  • System efficiency consultancy

We do not undertake direct construction works or guarantee the performance of third-party contractors.


3. Engagement, Pricing, and Scope

All work is undertaken under written agreement, proposal, or statement of work, which outlines the services, deliverables, and payment terms.

Pricing is dependent on the client-specific quotation and is subject to an annual review. Rates may be adjusted in line with inflation and prevailing industry standards.

Additional work outside of scope, including urgent tasks or extended hours, may be chargeable.


4. Permits, Safety, and RAMS

Methodology Man Ltd reviews and approves Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) provided by contractors. We do not author or create RAMS.

Permits to Work are issued only after satisfactory review of RAMS and relevant qualifications. Contractors are responsible for ensuring their RAMS and certifications are accurate and compliant.

Clients must clearly state all known site hazards and specific requirements prior to the commencement of work.

We are not liable for errors or omissions in RAMS authored by third parties.


5. Subcontractors and Affiliates

Methodology Man Ltd reserves the right to provide a suitable substitute or delegate work to subcontractors without the client’s approval, provided the substitute meets the required competencies and project requirements.

We may work with subcontractors under the Methodology Man Ltd banner. All subcontractors are vetted and supervised, but Methodology Man Ltd accepts no liability for independent actions outside of agreed deliverables.

We reserve the right to substitute personnel where appropriate without prior notice, ensuring continuity of service.


6. Intellectual Property

All documentation, training content, drawings, CAD files, and systems developed by Methodology Man Ltd remain our intellectual property unless explicitly assigned in writing.

Clients receive a licence to use deliverables for their own internal purposes only. Redistribution, modification, or resale without written permission is prohibited.


7. Confidentiality

We treat all client information and documentation as confidential and will not share details with third parties unless required by law or with your written consent.


8. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • Providing timely access to relevant information, personnel, systems, and facilities
  • Ensuring that their contractors are informed of safety requirements and site protocols
  • Acting promptly on project decisions and approvals
  • Clearly defining project requirements and acceptability tests to assess outcomes against expectations
  • Agreeing the project deliverables and the method of delivering the project as proposed by the project manager or supplier
  • Reviewing periodic reports and updates issued during the project; it is assumed that the client reads and takes on board the information provided unless otherwise stated in writing

Delays caused by client-side inaction may affect delivery timelines and result in additional charges.


8A. Communication

All formal communication relating to project scope, deliverables, or approvals must be issued via email or designated project collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams or SharePoint). Informal verbal discussions shall not be binding unless confirmed in writing.


8B. Changes to Scope

Any changes to agreed deliverables, timelines, or scope must be documented and approved in writing by both parties. Additional charges may apply based on revised scope or effort required.


8C. Project Start and Early Termination

Both parties agree to provide reasonable notice before the commencement of a project to ensure continuity and resource planning. In the event that a project is concluded earlier than expected, both parties shall endeavour to provide notice as soon as practicable to minimise disruption and support continuity of work allocation.


8D. Client Delays and Project Freezing

Where a project is delayed due to client-side actions or inaction, Methodology Man Ltd reserves the right to pause the project and reschedule work at its discretion. Recommencement may be subject to availability and revised quotation.


9. Liability

Methodology Man Ltd will use reasonable skill and care in delivering its services. We are responsible for presenting appropriate delivery options to the client in order to meet their needs. Methodology Man Ltd retains control over how services are delivered, including methods, schedules, and resource allocation, unless otherwise agreed in writing for specific deliverables.

Methodology Man Ltd provides services using its own systems, tools, and equipment unless site-specific requirements apply. Location of service delivery is determined by Methodology Man Ltd unless agreed otherwise.

However, we are not liable for:

Methodology Man Ltd will use reasonable skill and care in delivering its services. We are responsible for presenting appropriate delivery options to the client in order to meet their needs. However, we are not liable for:

  • Consequential or indirect losses
  • Delays caused by third-party contractors, supply chains, planning permission, or client decisions
  • Work carried out by third parties or subcontractors beyond our direct control
  • Increases in project budget estimates or schedule delays beyond our reasonable control

All deliverables must be agreed by the client once proposed by the project manager or supplier.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total fees paid by the client for the specific service giving rise to the claim.


10. VAT

As of 14 March 2025, Methodology Man Ltd is VAT registered and all invoices will include VAT at the prevailing UK rate.


11. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Cancellations or postponements within 48 hours of a scheduled onsite visit may incur a 50% charge.

We are flexible where possible but reserve the right to charge for time booked and lost to late notice changes.


12. Use of Website

All website content, including logos, images, articles, and templates, remains the property of Methodology Man Ltd unless otherwise stated.

You may not reproduce or reuse any part of this site without written consent.


13. Privacy and Cookies

14. Force Majeure

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with the written proposal or contract, constitute the entire agreement between Methodology Man Ltd and the client. No other verbal or written communications shall form part of the agreement unless explicitly incorporated in writing.

Where services are provided on an ad hoc basis without a specific written agreement, these Terms and Conditions shall take precedence and be deemed applicable by default. These Terms and Conditions are published online and a link is provided on every invoice issued by Methodology Man Ltd.

There is no obligation on Methodology Man Ltd to accept further work beyond each agreed engagement, nor is the client obliged to offer further work. Each engagement is a discrete commercial arrangement.

These Terms and Conditions, together with the written proposal or contract, constitute the entire agreement between Methodology Man Ltd and the client. No other verbal or written communications shall form part of the agreement unless explicitly incorporated in writing.

Where services are provided on an ad hoc basis without a specific written agreement, these Terms and Conditions shall take precedence and be deemed applicable by default. These Terms and Conditions are published online and a link is provided on every invoice issued by Methodology Man Ltd.

16. Amendments

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website.


17. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
